IN-KIND DONATIONS

The Food Bank @ St. Mary's gratefully accepts in-kind donations of food, personal care items, and other goods.

Visit our Amazon Wishlist to find items our clients are currently in great need of! Once you add an item from the Wishlist to your cart it will show the Food Bank as one of the shipping address options and they will deliver it straight to us!

Guidelines for Donations

 

YES

    •    Non-perishable packages of food (especially lentils and Mung beans)

    •    Fresh produce

    •    Personal care items such as soap, shampoo, sanitizer, lotion, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper etc.

    •    Gift cards

    •    Empty egg cartons (dozen only)

    •    Brown paper bags or heavy plastic bags (with handles)     *** VERY NEEDED CURRENTLY***

    •    New clothing (especially adult socks and gloves)

    •    Unopened pet food

 

NO

    •    Items that are open, expired or spoiled*

    •    Homemade items (such as jams and jellies, baked goods)

    •    Anything that requires distribution under the care of a physician

    •    Light plastic grocery bags

    •    Prescription bottles

    •    Old Clothing

    •    Misc canned food (only canned food listed below)

 

*Spoiled, expired, or otherwise inedible food will be composted. The food bank pays for food waste removal; please consider this when determining the freshness and quality of your donation.

 

Helpful items include

    •    *Canned chicken, SPAM and tuna

    •    *Canned chili

    •    *Canned vegetable soups only

    •    *Canned fruits

    •    Cold cereal

    •    Cooking oil

    •    Cup of Noodles

    •    Diabetic foods

    •    Diapers (sizes 4, 5, 6 only please)

    •    Fish sauce

    •    Gluten-free foods

    •    Infant formula

    •    Jams/Jellies

    •    Laundry Detergent

    •    Rice (especially Basmati rice)

    •    Shelf stable 8oz milk

    •    Soy sauce

    •    Soy, oat, rice or almond milk

*Pop-top cans only. Some clients do not have access/mobility to a can opener.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Holidays, inclement weather or other events might impact these hours.

Last year alone, the Food Bank @ St. Mary’s distributed more than

2 million pounds of food by:

  • Serving  more than 113,000 households

  • Providing 4,500 bags of groceries to children and their families in local schools

  • Making more than 10,000 food deliveries to home bound clients

  • Recording 23,000 hours of volunteer time
