Meet Todd Fisher!

fbsmadmin

Todd Fisher enjoys driving, so it makes sense he gave The Food Bank @ St. Mary’s a test run by volunteering for a year before joining the warehouse staff. “I had so much fun I kept coming back! I like the camaraderie here.”

On days when the food bank is open for walk-in service, Todd arrives at 7:00 a.m. -- three hours before the doors officially open -- to get ready for customers. He helps arrange the sorting room (the main area where food is stored and distributed): removing pallets, setting up tables, stacking plastic crates filled with goods, and deciding what items will be given out that day. He also helps choose the soundtrack to set the mood for the day’s shopping.

Todd also gets behind the wheel of the food bank van to do pick-ups at the various grocery stores who regularly donate food and supplies, and assists with home deliveries when needed.

On the road or on site, Todd likes being of service at The Food Bank @ St. Mary’s. “I’m grateful to be able to get out and do something that helps others.”
